Study Material

1.      NFPA 70-National Electrical Code 2008 ( I recommend the loose leaf edition since it can be altered if needed with inserts )

2.      A simple calculator that is not programmable, has paper tape, or has alphabetical keys.

3.      Most state use the same form of testing, so we can not cover every state and what they will allow but you can go to their web site and find which reference material they will allow. But for this study guide the 2008 NEC should be all you need.

4.      Pencils and paper to figure your calculations.

5.      Various colors of highlighters to highlight important and commonly used parts of the NEC. Which we will go over in this study guide.

v  Do not us on-line electrical calculators unless you are just double checking yourself, you will not have access to those things during your exam.

v  Retake your study tests over and over, this helps in two ways.

1)      Improves your skills in your calculations.

2)      Improves your knowledge of the layout of the NEC.
